A little more about me

My name is Rachel, I’m 24 years old and currently travelling around Australia in my van. I am a photographer, videographer, blogger and a generally travel-obsessed individual. Whether that is adventuring and exploring my own backyard, or taking a flight to the other side of the world, sign me up!

My love for travel started with my parents. Even before I was around, their love for travel meant they put off having kids to experience the world before being ‘tied down’. Little did they realise, they would still continue adventuring even with two kids around.

When I was two, we all moved the France and lived for 7 years. For anyone who has lived or been to Europe, you would know that this meant lots of trips and holidays away with so many countries at your doorstep. This made it easy for me to love travelling and exploring new places at a young age.

As soon as I was old enough to travel on my own, I was doing it. We moved back to Perth, Western Australia, but that didn’t stop me. I’d hitch rides down south for the holidays, I signed up for something called “World Challenge” at the age of 15 where all the kids were the ones in charge of planning the three weeks in Malaysia, and when I graduated from high school, the first thing on my mind was: “Where am I going to go on my Gap Year?”

The world is a book, and those who do not travel only read one page.
